About the School
Excel Academy Charter School prepares students to succeed in high school and college, apply their learning to solve relevant problems, and engage productively in their communities.
School Performance
Student performance data displayed below is from Next Generation MCAS results. For more data on schools, please visit the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) website. For schools with multiple campuses, the data below represents all schools in that network, not just the single school, unless otherwise noted. If data is not shown, it is not available for that school (e.g. the school might not serve any tested grades, or be too small to publicly release its scores).
IMPORTANT NOTE: DESE did not issue school, district, or state accountability determinations for the 2019-2020 school year due to the cancellation of state assessments and school closures related to COVID-19. As a result, there is no student performance data available from the state for school year 2019-2020.

Support Options
-
Serves all students admitted through the lottery or special admissions process; Autism services; Emotional impairment services; Moderate intellectual impairment services; Mild intellectual impairment services; Services for multiple disabilities; Physical impairment services; Services for specific learning disabilities; Inclusion classrooms; Substantially separate services. Not all of the above are explicitly separate programs, cohorts, or tracks, but we do serve and have specific accommodations/supports for students with all of those exceptionalities. We serve students with autism, emotional impairment, SLD, and/or an emotional impairment at all of our middle school and our high school campuses in an inclusion setting. We serve students who have significant learning needs in a substantially-separate program at our East Boston campus and at our High School campus, but those programs are based on student profile and presentation rather than disability category, so have a mix of student exceptionalities.
