About the School
The Conservatory Lab Charter School is a multi-campus school. You can find information about the Lower Campus by clicking here.
The Conservatory Lab Charter School is an Expeditionary Learning school that provides daily music education to all students. Students participate in project based learning expeditions that provide opportunities for students to participate in related field work and collaborate with experts in the field to create culminating projects that showcase students' learning, while allowing students an opportunity to support their community in service learning opportunities. Our youngest students begin with daily music classes that prepare them for daily instrumental lessons in grade one. Every students at CLCS is a member of an orchestra and participates in multiple performances in the community. CLCS prepares students to be strong scholars, artists and leaders in their community by providing authentic learning opportunities for students to refine their skills.
School Performance
Student performance data displayed below is from Next Generation MCAS results. For more data on schools, please visit the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) website. For schools with multiple campuses, the data below represents all schools in that network, not just the single school, unless otherwise noted. If data is not shown, it is not available for that school (e.g. the school might not serve any tested grades, or be too small to publicly release its scores).
IMPORTANT NOTE: DESE did not issue school, district, or state accountability determinations for the 2019-2020 school year due to the cancellation of state assessments and school closures related to COVID-19. As a result, there is no student performance data available from the state for school year 2019-2020.
